Binding of c-Jun and c-Fos to the TRE motif in DNA, in DHA-enriched astrocytes treated with IL-1β. An ELISA-based (Trans-AM) method was used to quantify the transcription factors binding to DNA in astrocytes incubated with various concentrations of DHA, followed by 4-hour incubation with IL-1β (10 ng/ml). The data are given as means ± SEM from two independent experiments. *p < 0.001 compared to control; #p < 0.001 compared to IL-1β-treated cells
